Primitiques and Samplers

I have been working on the Samplers store and site shooting pictures of the Samplers and Primitiques items together. We will have a plethora of these goodes at the up coming Country Living show and I wanted to put a few photo's up for all to see. We don't have our booth number yet but will let you know when we do. If you have any questions about any of the items in the pictures please feel free to call or email either Beth or myself.

This DARLING shelf was a piece I picked up from Beth at the Cash N'Carry. I had it in my shop 45 minutes with these beeswax n'clove nubbies and it sold. I am NOT KIDDING!!! Now I am thinking I should have kept it. Here are just a few of the many hanging candle shelves available. They are ALL UNIQUE and ALL ONE OF A KIND!!!

I tend to buy the unique Primitique pieces with the extra missing chunks to mix with my Samplers Goodes. I found a wonderful assortment of Primitiques hand turned bowls at the cash n'carry in varying colors. They look great and display so nicely with all of my primitive drieds, potpourri's and candles. I have taken pictures of a few.

This is one of the nicest bowls. It is 17" and is colored pumpkin over spicy mustard. It is by far one of the BEST fall color pieces. I am currently using it to display my simmering potpourri and pumpkin votive chunks.

I love stacking my bowls in my displays. This is the dark pitch bowl from an earlier picture inside a salmon bowl with dirtly white accents. I have my pumpkin tapers, fall simmering potpourri and a few cloved oranges accenting this display.

This is a putka garland and the pumpkin chunk votives I mentioned earlier. They are scented in a pumpkin spice blend with a hint of cinnamon. The bowl is the chippy side of the salmon bowl from the previous picture. If you have noticed in all if not most of my pictures I have a large Primitiques paddle behind the display and under the display. These paddles are so universal. I have them under candles, primitive jars, bowls, stationary packs and an assortment of goodes. They are both beautiful and functional. Beth and Bill always have a variety of colors and sizes at the shows so remember to just get on in there and DIG.

Here is a close up of one of the large candle paddles so you can see the details in it. I also have a picture of it leaning against an old door so you can see the entire paddle.

All wooded smalls available in your choice of Red/Black, Tallow/Brown, Black/Mustard, Grubby Green/Red, Cyan/Salmon or Mustard/Brown. All pricing includes travel fare.

Aged Corner Shelf ~
This pleasingly modest corner hanging shelf is at home in any room, tucked quietly away in a softly lit corner beckoning you to yesteryear. Perfectly Aged Corner Shelf with two rusty repairs & rusty hanging wire, grungy- battery operated flicker taper candle, scented brush and a chunk of marbleized tar soap ($79.95). This shelf is shown here in our muted Red/Black with Tallow accents.

Early Wall Ledge ~
This little ledge has endless uses. We are offering this as a gathering with our hand rolled candle but you can use it in the kitchen or bathroom with a chunk of early soap & a brush, you can use it for a chunky candle and so on… Our Early Wall Ledge comes with rusty accents and Plum & Clove hand rolled flicker candle ($69.95). This Ledge is shown here in Black over Mustard.

Make-Do Candle Holder ~
This is a versatile Make-Do Candle Holder that has been bejeweled with rusty metal. Metals such as this would have been used to reflect precious light from the flickering candle & the pioneers would not have been able to afford pricey silver sconces, so they would have made-do with using scraps of wood & metal to fashion a useful shelf. We are pairing this one-of-a-kind design with our signature grubby (Cranberry Plum, Vermont Maple or Blue Willow Berries) candle & heavily scented rosehips ($54.95). This candle holder is shown here in Tallow over Brown.

Make-Do Wooden Milk Painted Candle Stand ~
The Early Settlers were quite ingenious & did not let anything go to waste! Fashioned after an antique candle holder that was “make-do” by using an old Butter Paddle & a block of wood, Our Make-Do Wooden Milk Painted Candle Stand is a nod to our pioneer roots. This gathering includes a drab, grubby battery operated 2 x 3 flicker candle (Scentennial House) & hanging taper candles wrapped in our aged original M & M Dry Goodes label & grungy cheesecloth ($85.00). Candle Stand shown here in Cyan over Salmon, flicker candle & tapers are heavily scented with Scentennial House (our signature scent).

Soap Box Gathering ~
Our Soap Box Gathering offering is a complete primitive vignette for your home! Our Soap Box Gathering includes reproduction wooden milk painted box (in Grubby Green over Red) with a rusty repair & wirework, a generous chunk of marbleized tar soap, scented aged brushes, room spray (Scent?), a generous slice of stained cheesecloth (which would be perfect for an early window accent or a table runner!) & a large tattered & stained hand cloth ($129.00).

Primitive Spice Shelf & Jars ~
Simple goodes are often most beloved because they reflect the purity of our past. Our Primitive Spice Shelf milk painted in our aged Mustard over Brown with glass jars with M&M Dry Goodes grungy labels with good ol’ fashioned muslin & twine lids. The jars are each filled with wonderfully scented Cinnamon sticks, Bay leaves, dried Orange Peels & Cloves (not edible- display only). The jars themselves are food-safe, so you can order unfilled jars to put your spices in ($115.00 for the set of 4 jars, fillers in jars & spice rack.

You can also purchase additional sets of Spice Jars (4 unfilled) = $24.95. Please email us to tell us what spice/food name you want written on your labels.
